How Can I Jump Higher in Volleyball?

Even though it may not seem like a big deal, I need an answer to the question “How can I jump higher in Volleyball?”. As you may be aware, most people that want to learn about how to jump higher are interested in playing basketball. That said, if you've ever had to “spike” in volleyball, then you can quickly understand why precise vertical jumping is very important. In fact, if you cannot master this particular skill, then you will wind up having all kinds of problems as a Volleyball player. Did you know that the spiker in Volleyball is one of the most important players? Without an ability to jump up and drive the ball down sharply onto the other side of the net, a Volleyball team has very little chance of scoring points. In a sense, the spike in Volleyball is every bit as important as the layup in Basketball.

Today, I really and truly need an answer to the question, “How can I jump higher?”. Each year, I look forward to playing volleyball on the beach. Since all of my friends are taller than me, it is very difficult for me to play well when I occupy certain positions on the team. As may be expected, I don't want to be the weakest link at a crucial moment in the game.

I have decided to start doing some research on the question, “How can I jump higher?”. Last night, I was surprised to find a training series called The Jump Manual. Even though I've seen ebooks on this topic, The Jump Manual comes with video files and free advice from professional trainers. I was really impressed by the fact that someone will always be available to answer my questions as I learn how to jump higher. Can you think of any other training series that will give you this kind of support while you are trying to perfect your skills?

As may be expected, I've asked lots of people “How can I jump higher?”. Some coaches will give advice about technique, or things that I can change right on the spot. Oddly enough, none of those suggestions have done me much good. That is one of the many reasons why I'm so drawn to The Jump Manual. Among other things, this series does not offer an easy fix to low jumping issues. Instead, it gives you a blueprint that will enable you to work with each element that goes into vertical jumping. From there, you have an opportunity to build and develop into a truly powerful jumper.

Up until now, I haven't had many good answers to the question “How can I jump higher?”. On the other hand, I am really excited by the opportunity to work with the Jump Manual. At the very least, the information offered in this training series makes sense. Among other things, I can certainly see where diet and exercise will enhance my ability to perform better as a vertical jumper. While every athlete should be following healthy guidelines, there is no question that this kind of information is lacking when it comes to jump training.
